INTRANET DEVELOPMENT

LETTER TO SANTA

The starting point prior to the two-day workshop is to survey all of the client’s staff. The survey examines in detail how each member of staff uses the communication tools available to them, especially the intranet.

The workshop delegates are then formed into teams to represent these views at the intranet development stage. The exact way we do is not covered here for commercial reasons, but we can say that the frenzied focussed work will uncover many killer applications that will drive future use of the intranet!

The second day is the real marvel. Each idea generated by the teams is evaluated by our special resource measuring system. Killer applications and other tools are measured and then placed on the Santa Workshop Christmas tree. How this process of identifying baubles works is also commercially sensitive.

The outcome is the client’s Letter to Santa: a description of tools that have been created and evaluated by the very people who will use the system they have helped design.
